WIEGEL Receives Award for 11 Years of EMAS Commitment

On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the EMAS environmental management system, the WIEGEL Group was presented with a certificate by the Nuremberg Chamber of Industry and Commerce for Middle Franconia. The award recognizes the company’s 11 years of commitment within the framework of the European environmental management system.

Since December 8, 2014, WIEGEL has been officially listed in the EMAS register under registration number DE-158-00127. EMAS (Eco-Management and Audit Scheme) is a voluntary instrument of the European Union that enables companies to systematically improve and transparently document their environmental performance. It stands for verifiable standards and a continuous improvement process that goes beyond legal requirements.

The award demonstrates that WIEGEL has relied on a certified environmental management system for many years – consistently implementing improvements step by step. It is a strong signal that sustainable action is firmly embedded in the company’s day-to-day operations.
